Cassius' junior Season was one for the history books:

Average 18.8 points and 7.5 assists during the season

-Big Ten Player of the Year

-Named Most Outstanding Player of both the Big Ten Tournament and the NCAA Tournament East Region

-Just the second player in Michigan State history, joining Morris Peterson in 2000, to win Big Ten Player of the Year, Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player, Regional Most Outstanding Player and earn first-team All-America honors in the same season

-A unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten First Team

-Selected to the John R. Wooden Award All-American Team and was one of five finalists for the Wooden Award Trophy

-A finalist for the Naismith Trophy and for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award

-Named the MSU Most Valuable Player by the team and the media •

-Dished out more assists in one season (291) than any previous player in the history of Big Ten basketball, setting an MSU single-season record in the process

The first player in Michigan State history to be named Big Ten Player of the Week five times in one year (Nov. 26, Dec. 31, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Feb. 25)

-One of only 18 Division I college players since 1992-93 to average at least 18.0 points and 7.0 assists per game • Fourth in the Big Ten in scoring
